Early Childhood Council Planning Grant Award Announcement

As a follow-up to the “Untapped Potential: How Childcare and Early Education Impacts Mississippi’s State Economy” Summit held in March 2022, the Children’s Foundation of Mississippi announced planning grant opportunities for community based Early Childhood Councils.  We are thrilled to announce the following recipients of these planning grants: Oakland Area Chamber of Commerce, Columbus Mayor’s Council on Early Childhood Policy and Education, Nurture Our Future, United Way of Northeast Mississippi, Central Mississippi Regional Library System, Jefferson County School District, Level-Up Learning Center, Right Choice Learning Center, Inc., and Hattiesburg Excel By 5.  

Over the next several weeks, we are looking forward to site visits with each of these nine communities. The enthusiasm from each of these groups is inspiring, and we are eager to see how these councils begin working in their communities to #turnthecurve for our children!
